Douglas Technology Consulting began in 1996 when the first contract was established with the University of
Michigan Medical Center. Since then, we have provided services to numerous large organizations, primarily
state and county governments. Our primary focus has been developing .NET applications to perform various
tasks required by our clients and Web sites for use by internal and external customers.

One example of the types of applications and tools we've developed is MUSIC, which stands for
Multiple User Secure Internet Communications. MUSIC is an encryption utility that allows groups of people
to share documents securely over the Internet. The document, which is encrypted and digitally signed
can only be opened by the group members and can be sent via email as an attachment. Users drag and drop
files on to the program icon to encrypt or decrypt files. The process uses Verisign digital certificates to
sign and validate files ensuring the integrity of the files and the identity of the signer. This tool will
be available here in the near future.
